Bridging Airband VHF Radio to UHF Conventional Radio for Search and Rescue Operations

We recently observed a search and rescue exercise, which included military support by an Army National Guard helicopter unit. We made the following video to explain how the ICRI is used to improve communications and coordination, between agencies, during these type of operations.

The ICRI was able to bridge the airband VHF radio used in the helicopter with the UHF conventional radios used by local public safety at the incident. This allowed the crew on board the aircraft to talk directly to public safety personnel on the ground, with each agency using their own radios.

Below is a video we made to demonstrate and explain this capability. If you would like additional information on the ICRI, please contact us at +1-703-481-0068 or info@c-at.com
