Communications Interoperability: bridges mobile, portable, military and civilian radios; including cell/satellite/direct-connect and land-line phones; trunked and conventional radios; P25 and VoIP compatible.
Tactical Repeating: functions as a repeater to connect and extend radio frequency coverage in urban or wildland environments.
Enhances in-building coverage and extends underground communications (in conjunction with C-AT’s Cable Reel/Extension).
Most ICRIs are priced under $10,000 for a full interoperability package, including connecting cables.

New features now available in all ICRIs:
- VoIP compatibility - Several VoIP interfaces available, ranging from an E&M port, a handset station emulator port, to a Cisco ATA 186 port.
- Speaker ports - for easier audio monitoring
- Bridge Unit ID® and Remote Control DTMF
When multiple ‘bridge’ devices are activated at an incident, all linked radios with identical frequencies can be disrupted by interference. The Interop Unit ID® transmits a digitized speech message that identifies the ICRI by its user group or agency, and can be remotely controlled or shut-off. The “ID” is transmitted on all talk groups when the unit is powered on and then at preset intervals of 0, 5, 10, or 15 minutes, waiting so as not to talk-over broadcast activity at the interval mark. Similar to the ID function required of any repeater. (more information)
